Why the Last "I Do Not Care" Is Heavy
It does not sound like victory; it sounds like a breath falling down.
It arrives too late to be simple
"I do not care" comes after a long chain of exits, dirt, distance, and address. It cannot be heard as an easy attitude.
Lower does not mean lighter
Not caring usually sounds like escape. Here it sounds tired, as if raising the voice no longer works.
Silence receives what has no answer
The credits and quiet do not explain the line. They leave it with the residue of the ending.
